Thanks to your support the Commentators Club is proud to announce the 2018 Luncheon
donation amount of
$30,000!
The Commentators Club is proud to have partnered with Backpacks 4 VIC Kids as 2018's charity partner. Backpacks 4 VIC Kids provide much needed resources to children entering out-of-home care and emergency accommodation, often displaced without much more than what they are wearing at the time. B4VK’s ME Packs provide children aged from birth to seventeen with a few essential items to help support them through relocation.
Imagine being unsafe at home, being removed swiftly, without any time to grab your favourite items of comfort, or clean undies. ME Packs and ME Jnr Packs contain gender and size appropriate clothing, sleepwear, underwear, toiletries, stationery, a soft toy, torch, blanket, items of distraction and additional items of comfort.
ME Packs are given directly to children as soon as practicable following displacement. Items not only provide children with clean and suitable clothing, they also give children a sense that someone cares, that they are important, and that there is hope.

The Commentators Club chooses a different grass roots Melbourne charity to benefit from all the hard work that goes into the luncheon each year. Our recipient charity partner receives a very generous donation of all funds raised (above staging costs) at the event that year. For more information see our Previously Supported Charities page. |
