2023 Charity Partner Anonymous X

Anonymous X is a Melbourne based charity consisting of a team who all share a common belief, that we can make a difference and together create a change for the homeless and less fortunate.  Their mission is to provide assistance to people experiencing homelessness by distributing the generous donations received, primarily clothing for men and women, as well as sanitary, toiletry, bedding and other essential items.

The Anonymous X Team is comprised of a small group of devoted voluntary team leaders who not only manage the administrative and warehouse needs of the organisation but also offer practical and emotional support in a variety of different and unique ways.
Since its establishment in 2013, Anonymous X has grown significantly and in response to the overwhelming support from the community, the organisation has expanded to provide more comprehensive services. This resulted in the need for more space to store and distribute all the amazing donations.

Restoring dignity to those we provide assistance to is one of the key factors that continue to motivate the team… to treat others as equals irrespective of life circumstances and to accept the compassion of neighbours in times of need. We believe that settling for anything less, is simply not an option.

• We are committed to changing the current landscape pertaining to homelessness. We don’t just talk about change; we’re making it happen.
• Anonymous X does not discriminate or serve any specific group of people based on their race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic.
• Anonymous X has been providing essential items to Melbourne's homeless community for over 10 years.

Through their work, Anonymous X seeks to create a sense of community among those who are experiencing homelessness and to provide a safe and supportive environment where they can receive assistance and encouragement. Anonymous X recognises that the root causes of homelessness are often complex, and their approach emphasises building connections and providing ongoing support to help individuals rebuild their lives.

The Commentators Club chooses a different grass roots Melbourne charity to benefit from all the hard work that goes into the luncheon each year.
